LAMONT DOZIER: GRAMMY® Award Winner Lamont Dozier is one of America’s greatest songwriters, having either written or co-written an astonishing 54 #1 hits. Lamont is best known as a member of Holland-Dozier-Holland, the songwriting and production team that was responsible for much of the Motown sound and numerous hit records by artists such as Martha and the Vandellas. The Supremes, The Four Tops, Marvin Gaye and The Isley Brothers, among others. Lamont’s songs have appeared in more than 120 movies and television productions and he has even had success as a platinum-selling recording artist. In 2009, Lamont reunited with the Holland Brothers to compose the Broadway Musical version of the movie The First Wives Club. Lamont currently teaches a class on songwriting at the University of Southern California and he is also a member of The Recording Academy® Board of Trustees.
